Developing the INTEGRATED VOICE

Study of The Feldenkrais Method® provided Marina a new understanding of body dynamics. She began to appreciate that even small movements or minor tensions, can get in the way of vocal production, vocal flexibility, and freedom of expression. The Feldenkrais Method provided insight for recognizing and teaching others how to become aware of the inefficiencies of posture and movement.  It provided the tools to help students discover more efficient alternatives.

Certification as a speech language pathologist with specialization in voice provided Marina not only a strong understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the voice, but also how minor changes, both normal and pathological, in the vocal mechanism can affect not only the function of the vocal folds, but also breathing and posture.
